DECEMBER LIKIZO FESTIVAL

 

1.       INTRODUCTION

DECEMBER LIKIZO FESTIVAL is the festival that has been established by TRIPLE S COMPANY with the aim of creating an opportunity for people in different regions of Tanzania to spend their December holidays participating in different activities on film, music, sports, entertainment, exhibition and arts when getting education on HIV/AIDS, Malaria and environmental issues.

 

The festival is going to be held in different regions of the country travelling from one region to another covering more than five regions including Dar es salaam, Mwanza, Arusha, Dodoma and Morogoro. The festival is going to be held in day and night gathering people in different venues participating in different activities.

 

2.       ACTIVITIES

The following are the activities that are going to be featured in the festival:-

 

FILM – the festival is going to show more than fifty local films, launching and selling new local movies, accessing new local actors to acting competitions as well as giving acting seminars to upcoming actors.

 

MUSIC – live music performances from local and international artists, Rap and singing competitions, music seminars to upcoming musicians, selling of local music albums and music dancing.

 

SPORTS – Children sports, adults’ sports and betting

 

ENTERTAINMENT – Films and music

 

EXHIBITION – There will be exhibitions on different artistic works like new films, new music albums, singles and mix tapes, new music videos, paintings, sculpture and pictures.

 

ARTS – Paintings, sculptures and graffiti.

 

3.       TIME

During the day the festival is going to participate families where as parents will bring their children and make them enjoy different types of entertainment, sports and exhibitions. During the night the festival is going to gather adults in different venues where they will be accessed to films, music and barbeque.

 

 

 

4.       ENTRANCE FEE

The entrance fee for DECEMBER LIKIZO FESTIVAL will be 6,000/= Tshs for single and 10,000/= for couple where as children will be allowed for free and they will just be allowed for day events only. Twenty percent (20%) of the event’s proceeds will be donated to different development projects in rural and urban areas of the country. The festival is going to welcome as many sponsors as possible so as to make it happen successfully reaching the objectives.

 

5.       OBJECTIVES

·         Creating an opportunity for people to spend their December holidays together with their families while getting accessed to entertainment and awareness educations.

·         Creating opportunity for upcoming film and music artists to unleash and replenish their talents.

·         Creating public awareness on HIV/AIDS, Malaria and environmental issues.

·         Creating opportunity for painting, drawing and sculpture artists to demonstrate their art works.

·         Raising funds for donating to different development projects in rural and urban areas of the country.
